| This view is looking south across the high wall ruins along the eastern face of Pueblo Bonito. The chaotic arrangement of stone in the foreground are part of a massive breakdown from the cliff (to the rear of this photo). The Chacoans must have been concerned about the potential of rock falls because stone masonry was added to stabilize some of the larger, more precariously standing boulders.
