| The ruins of the Circle Creek Ranch homestead is located just outside of the Almo Entrance to the park near the Visitor Center. The California Trail passes through the City of Rocks area. Wagon trains of early emmigrants started passing the the area in 1843, and later experienced the passage of larger numbers of people on the way to the California gold fields. |
