| This cave along the Union Pacific Grade (along the Big Fill Walk) was used to store supplies and temporary shelter during construction of the railroad grade. The cave originally formed from wave erosion along the shore of Lake Bonnieville. Caves like this throughout the Great Basin region have yielded artifacts of early prehistoric peoples that utilized the natural resources along the ancient lakeshores. |
