| Sun Temple is located on the end of a ridge between two canyons at the head of Cliff Canyon. The Sun Temple is built on top of the mesa rather than on one of the overhangs. The original ruin was largely a heap of collapsed rubble; weathering caused the originally masonry cement to crumble and erode away over time. The structure has been stabilized and partially restored so it it is accessible to the large numbers of visitors that visit the ruins each year. |
