SanAndreasLake.jpg - San Andreas Lake is located in San Mateo County west of Interstate 280. The reservoir fills a portion of the San Andreas Rift Valley where an original, much smaller San Andreas Lake naturally existed as a sag pond along the San Andreas Fault. It was after this historic lake that the fault was named. Today much of this reservoir watershed area is off limits to public access. |
