Private Arch is along the backcountry primitive trail in the Devils Garden area. It is interesting to note that all the arches in the park are true natural "arches" (formed by exfoliation and weathering processes forming holes in rock fins) instead of "natural bridges" (which form by meandering stream erosion). Natural Bridges National Monument in southern Utah has the second variety.
