The Colorado River near Potash

View of the Colorado River from near the Colorado River boat launch near Potash. Note the gentle dip of the Chinle (slope) and Wingate (sandstone cliffs). The strata is dipping to the northwest off the flank of the Cane Creek anticline. Tamarask, an invasive plant probably introduced from the Nile River region of Egypt in the 1800s, lines the Colorado River banks.
