Red Slide in southern Capitol Reef National Park

This view is looking south from the Halls Creek Overlook in the southern end of Capitol Reef National Park. At the center of the image is the Red Slide, a massive landslide that occurred in the Wingate and Chinle Formations and spread eastward over the Navajo Sandstone into the valley of Halls Creek.
