Soda Lake
Today, an extensive saltbush flora habitat and a plant-stabilized clay dune field surround the dry lake. Although the playa still yields dust, the clay dunes were active during drier periods in the Holocene Epoch (more than a thousand years ago). This view looking north from the boardwalk along the western shore of Soda Lake near Overlook Hill.
