Ibix Dunes are located near Saratoga Spring in the southeast corner of Death Valley National Park and are accessible by the unpaved Henry Wade Road. The dunes have formed at the southern end of part of the dry Amargosa River Valley. Prevailing winds moving southeast through the valley cause sand to accumulate along the windward side of the Ibix Hills.
