This zoomed-in view shows "fresh" light-colored rock and sediments of a fairly recent debris flow stand out on an alluvial fan at the base of the Panamint Butte near the Big Four Mine ruins. Debris and avalanche flows frequently come down out of the mountain canyons following large storm event as this one most recently did in the early 1990s.
