Scotty's Castle is a popular tourist destination in north-central Death Valley National Park. It is located in Grapevine Canyon along Highway 267. Scotty, or Walter Scott (1872-1954) helped design and build the castle that bears his name with funding and assistance by his associate Mr. Albert Johnson (1872 - 1948).
