Manley Beacon is just left of center in the yellow badlands. The red, cliff layers on the right are mostly massive conglomeratic beds of the Furnace Creek Formation. The term, fanglomerate -- meaning cemented gravels originally deposited on alluvial fans -- applies to these conglomerates.
