Mosaic Canyon

Upstream of the lower gorge of Mosaic Canyon the stream divides into two channels. The streams carving these channels have cut downward into the older alluvial sediments that once back-filled the canyon. This resulted in the formation of an axial ridge consisting of older consolidated alluvium running partly down the middle of the upper canyon. This view is looking upstream along this ridge between the two streams.
