Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Texas madrone (tree), sotol (a yucca-like plant), and creosote bush thrive in McKittrick Canyon. The Guadalupe Mountains are a transition zone between the high Chihuahuan Desert and the forested uplands of the Southern Rocky Mountains.
