Landslide along the Limekiln Trail near Lexington Reservoir, Santa Clara County, California

This slump is along the Limekiln Trail near Lexington Reservoir in Santa Clara County (south of Los Gatos). The slump formed in deeply-weathered serpentinite bedrock and soil on the steep mountainsides along the valley Limekiln Creek on the flank of Sierra Azul Ridge. Note the leaning and dead manzanita shrubs on the toe of this active landslide.
