Pulpit Terrace is one of the travertine springs in the lower terraces area of Mammoth Hot Springs thermal area. The curtain-like pattern of the tavertine are particularly well developed relative to the other terraces in the area. Note the small dead trees in the travertine. They provide an indirect indication of just how fast travertine terraces can form.
