Chaco Culture National Historic Park
Pueblo del Arroyo. Archeological artifacts excavated from the puebloan ruins at Chaco include sea shells, macaw and parrot feathers and remains, copper bells, conch shell trumpets, and other materials that were supplied through trade with sources in Mexico and throughout the Southwestern region (Stuart, 2000; Lekson and others, 2005; NPS, 2005c, 2005d).
